We are looking for a Finance Executive to join our London-based finance team who provide support to our global offices. This is a varied role, and the successful candidate will be responsible for accounts receivable and providing assistance with accounts payable, as well as supporting the Finance Manager and Finance Director on the production of our subsidiary companies’ monthly management accounts.  Successful candidates will have 1-2 years experience working in a finance team, will be registered with ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent), actively studying, and close to being part qualified.

Management Information

> Assistance in the preparation of allocated overseas subsidiary accounts packs.
> Regular liaison with the Directors to ensure fees billed on Sage reconcile to the fee profile (in the running budget).
> Accrued/Deferred/Advanced Billing management.
> Prepayments release schedule.
> Fixed assets/depreciation schedule.
> Balance sheet reconciliations.
> Client budget reporting.
> Marketing budget reporting.


> The primary Accounts Receivable clerk responsible for creating sales invoices, ensuring they are sent on time, and managing client accounts and codes on Sage (the accounting software system).
> WIP control.
> Intercompany recharges.

Credit Control / Banking

> Chasing outstanding client invoices.
> Bank reconciliations.
> Bank form completion (e.g., setting up new credit cards).

Accounts Payable

> Assists the Accounts Payable function (and therefore the duties of the Finance Assistant), ensuring appropriate authorisation over the processing of supplier, credit card & staff expense costs incurred across the business.
> Assists in the supervision of the first stage of nominal ledger coding and input, ensuring the accounts are free from error prior to Management review.
> Supplier payment submissions.
> Coding supplier invoices.
> Foreign currency / petty cash management.

Statutory Compliance / Other Reporting

> Other ad hoc reporting as required by the Directors.


> Educated to GCSE level or equivalent as a minimum (including good passes in Maths and English).
> Registered with ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent), close to being part qualified, and actively studying.
> 1-2 years’ experience of working in a finance team is essential, and an understanding of the communications sector would be advantageous.
> Accurate keyboard skills, attention to detail and a high level of numeracy.
> Ability to absorb information quickly and work with minimal supervision.
> Good working knowledge of MS Excel to at least intermediate level.
> Experience with accounting software packages such as Sage is essential.
